Mission | Eat Drink SLC raises awareness about Salt Lake’s finest culinary and cultural opportunities. Our vision is to engage patrons with the marriage of food and drink. Net proceeds benefit nonprofits that enhance our sense of place, art, and community .
Giving Back | Eat Drink SLC has raised over $50,000 for nonprofits. Each year, net proceeds are split evenly between organizing partners Tracy Aviary and SB Dance— representing a place and arts-maker that contribute to the unique character of our community– and a third nonprofit that sustains the people and families who work in the local food and beverage industry. Past community beneficiary nonprofits include Communidades Unidas, Race Swami, and Neighborhood House.
History & Organization| Eat Drink SLC is the child of a SB Dance fundraiser that began in 2011. After outgrowing the Rose Wagner Center, the event evolved into a partnership that brought in Tracy Aviary and Vine Lore Wine & Spirits. Continuing to operate as a nonprofit program of SB Dance, Eat Drink SLC moved to its present location in 2015. Quite unexpectedly, the first year sold out days in advance. As Eat Drink SLC slowly increased capacity, it continues to sell out every year. We attribute its success to amazing food and beverage partners, supportive and generous sponsors, the passion of local gastronomic enthusiasts, dedicated volunteers, lovely summer nights, and lots of hard work.
